Make-a Wish Foundation of Wisconsin grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Last year the chapter granted a record breaking 268 wishes. Currently, nearly 200 Wisconsin children are in the progress of having their special wishes granted.
The MACC Fund, Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc., is a charitable organization formed in 1976 to support research into the effective and cure of childhood cancer. Professional athletes, community-minded business people, corporations, fraternal organizations, local celebrities and individual volunteers work to organize special events throughout the year, to provide "Hope Through Research to Children with Cancer."
Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) network of volunteers who provide assistance to help maintain the independence of older adults. Their assistance includes long term on-going help as well as temporary assistance for individuals that may need help after an accident or surgery.
What do children need to grow strong? Along with the basic needs of food and shelter, they also need to be loved, guided and supported in their transition to adulthood. Whether it's a place to go after school, a helping hand with homework, a place to learn leadership skills, or a safe place to play and connect, the YMCA is there. We believe that every child deserves the experience of YMCA programs, regardless of the financial difficulties their family may be facing.
Operation Nehemiah is an indigenous non-profit Christian relief and development ministry serving the persecuted people of the Sudan. They assist with creating opportunities for displaced families and pastors to return to their homeland.
We work with local churches in more than 60 countries, training indigenous Christians to lead Bible studies.
